[ShoEboX, TV's Kyle, spoken] In 1982, Kid Stuff Records, makers of quality book-and-record adaptations exploring the worlds of G.I. Joe, Strawberry Shortcake, Barbie, McDonalds, Raggedy Ann, Fat Albert, and... DOOM, for some reason, released the Amazing Adventures of Pac-Man LP. This musical story takes place within the Kid Stuff Paciverse, previously established by their Pac-Man book-and-records, in which Pac-Man is a law enforcement agent of some sort, with duties and legal authorities they've never adequately explored, serving Pac-Ville, a town plagued by four ghosts with names based on the character column of the Pac-Man attract screen, rather than the generally canonical nickname column, and were therefore named Shadow, Speedy, Bashful, and Pokey. I won't go into the dense plot of Pac-Man's [?] quest, but it basically follows the standard Hero's Journey wherein the protagonist embarks on an adventure, facing numerous obstacles on his quest to defeat his enemies before suddenly remembering there's a pill he can take that will allow him to eat them. This song takes place within the first act, and is a culmination of what's presented as a standard ghost brainstorming session, wherein multiple terrible ideas are eschewed before our villains finally agree on the unique, ingenious, and dare I say dastardly plan to steal all the fruit in Pac-Ville You's mean, all the cherries?
