[Spoken Word: Eric Woolfson] We had intended just calling the album "Tales Of Mystery And Imagination" But the record company specifically asked us to have an artistic identification So we called it "The Alan Parsons Project" And, uh, people in the industry and the public appeared to think of this as being a band This was quite fortuitous because during the making of the album we realized that there was more scope for this kind of musical venture And, uh, we developed many other idеas for making albums based on different thеmes As Edgar Allan Poe had been described as the father of science fiction, it seemed reasonably logical that, uh, we should perhaps go to the science fiction area for the next album And the result was the "I Robot" album
