The lyrics paint a picture of someone vehemently denying any interest in another person, insisting they don't like them at all. This initial declaration, "あんたなんてどうでもいい" (I don't care about you), sets a tone of dismissiveness, yet it's immediately undercut by the repeated, almost frantic, insistence: "全然好きじゃないのに" (Even though I don't like you at all) and "好きなはずなんてないのに" (There's no way I like you).
This internal conflict is the core of the song. The narrator claims indifference, but their attention is clearly fixated on the other person's "言葉も視線も仕草も" (words, gaze, gestures). The unexpected "ムカつくよね何故か" (It's annoying, for some reason) reveals the true tension: the other person's actions are actively bothering them, specifically because their "あんたからの言葉が / わたしの心を惑わせるの" (words from you are confusing my heart).
The chorus is a masterclass in self-deception. The narrator tries to backtrack with "前言撤回" (Retraction) and reiterates "あなたなんて興味ない" (I'm not interested in you), but the following lines betray this facade. What makes these lyrics so effective is the raw, almost adolescent, struggle with burgeoning feelings. The post-chorus drives this home with the blunt confession: "ふりをしているだけ" (I'm just pretending).
