Lyrics

Hello. And welcome to The Violence Of Healing. When we last left Jake Palumbo he had just released his magnum opus Plant-Based Libtard on January 7th 2022. In what can only be described as a fucking miracle, people actually heard it & enjoyed it - so much that it has achieved one point five Million streams on Spotify alone as of the date of this recording. Biblical wonders seemingly never cease, as Jake Palumbo finally releasеd a solo album that did not go double wood Jake Palumbo was re-еnergized by his music finally being heard & appreciated on a wider level, & spent the next two years rapping his absolute Sunday best on a ferocious run of guest appearances. He also produced and mixed exceptional records for many major artists. A sense of proficiency in his craft made the process of making music extremely fun again as Jake Palumbo worked diligently to push the ship forward & strike while the iron was hot But all was not well To keep it a rack as the kids say, in the same 6 month period in 2021 Jake Palumbo went through a terrible breakup, his Mother passed away from a cruel & grueling battle with numerous cancers, and the State of New York seized twenty two thousand dollars out of SpaceLAB Recordings bank account - allegedly for adjusted underpayment of corporate tax which left him financially worse for the wear for a period of time While Jake Palumbo pushed forward, trying to stoically hustle his way out of heartbreak, abandonment & grief his mental health spiraled into the fucking toilet 2022 & 2023 were landmark years for Jake Palumbo's professional life, but behind the scenes he was in shambles. Jake Palumbo had frequent panic attacks, outbursts & meltdowns in public on the subway, & would isolate himself constantly, timidly crippled with fear by the thought of human communication - even with the people he knew & loved By December 2022 Jake Palumbo had reached his lowest point of anxiety, depression & abandonment. He wrote up a will assigning his assets to loved ones and began organizing his approximately 350 leftover beats so that rappers could still make albums with Jake Palumbo after he was dead. Thankfully in early 2023 he had a change of heart. Jake finally got some fucking health insurance & went to the doctor to get a physical. He asked his primary care physician about getting some help with mental health treatment, & was given a 4-page questionnaire to fill out. The doctors were rather alarmed by his answers Jake Palumbo was held for a psych evaluation at Woodhull Medical center & shortly after began weekly psychiatric treatment & therapy. We are pleased to report that while he is still bat shit crazy at times, he has made excellent progress in the last 15 months of therapy & does not want to kill himself or anyone else at this present time. In fact he is optimistic & excited about his musical future despite the fact the planet is on fire & will soon be uninhabitable Inevitably it was time for Jake Palumbo to finally make good on his promise to deliver an album about his inner most feelings & personal thoughts that he's been talking about & avoiding since 2019 We present to you this music as an exercise in primal scream therapy of sorts. As part of his healing journey, Jake Palumbo has pledged to make a rap song about every thing & every person who has ever caused him emotional distress. Going to therapy & speaking candidly about his emotions with no filter has kept Jake Palumbo alive, focused & improving - so the same principle is being applied to the music here This album is presumed to be the first volume in a trilogy, as there is quite a lot more to discuss in Jake Palumbo's life history that we did not get to here. It should be noted that the stories on these albums are not told in chronological order or sequence - in fact things will often skip around like a Tarantino movie as we progress through these songs While we sincerely appreciate the support of every listener, every DJ, website, journalist & show promoter who supports Jake Palumbo's music, he was quite clear when turning in this album that he does not give the slightest fuck what it sells or streams We appreciate your patience as Jake Palumbo let's it all entirely the fuck out, across these tracks. We assure you that a more traditional Jake Palumbo album is already underway & will soon follow this release, where he will be back to rapping about things like recreational use of horse tranquilizers, cream pie pornography, governmental corruption, clever references to nineties mid-card wrestlers, hotel breakfast buffets & making aggressive threats towards those he considers inferior But for now.
