Lyrics

(verse 1) I would love to sleep but I never can I'm too focused on these problems I'm living with I go day by day wondering what's wrong with me I always try to find this missing piece inside of me I'm a puzzle that's missing all its parts You can never solve me, that'll be hard I'm a door that will never be opened So why are you still trying? I already told ya All this empty space inside makes me feel hollow Makes it so I can be used, and no emotion This world keeps turning and I'm not hanging on for dear life I warned every single one of you, I'm losing this fight This is just the mind of the people who can't sleep Overdramatic, and overthinking everything Sleeping is our break from society The ones who need it most, are the ones who's minds avoid it And I know no one will understand this Only people that can relate are the insomniacs We feel so much pain that we can't even put into words So sleeping is our dream, hoping it'll get rid of our Hurt (verse 2) All these thoughts in our heads keep us awake They're like morning alarms but turning them off, there's no way All these adults yell at us about how we should be asleep But they don't understand that it's not as easy as it seems Pain enters our souls like filling a cup of water We lose ourselves to our own conscience We always try to be alone but it's difficult Cause no one understands that alone is good for you It's not depressing if you really think about it What is though, is how we can feel our demons knocking Knocking inside our mind saying 'open up' But we don't want to so we keep it shut It a door that needs to stay locked If only we had a remote to mute all these voices They're trapped in our minds, they're our poison Insomniacs, we can't sleep Insomniacs, are you with me? Can you hear me?
