[Jim] Basically what happened was I did a solo show and I actually got on stagewithRudy. We playedtogether at the State House. [Interviewer] Was thatyour first time playing together? [Jim] I believe it was, I believe it was. And Rudy actually was a roadie for the Skullbank show when we opened up for David Thomas and the Pedestrians. He was our roadie because he lived in the neighborhood. I remember he worked at Lawson's. But anyway, so there you go. Me and Rudy had played together, okay? We had synced up at the State House then. Skullbank was broken up so what happened was anyway, to make a long story short, when Kevin called me to play at the travel agency by myself, I got together with Roxanne. I was going to do my stuff. Roxanne was there. And Squidfish and Rudy were already there because they had their equipment there they were gonna play with Kevin. So what basically happened was before the show we were out in the back parking lot behind the travel agency and I said, "hey Rudy, hey Squid," I said, "here's a song called 'Celebrate It' and here's how it goes." And I showed them in the parking lot on an electric guitar with no amplification and they checked out what I was playing. And I said, "Here's a song called 'Photograph Burns'. Here's how it goes." And then I think there was another one, 'Union View' or something, me and Roxanne had done at Skullbank. So what happened was I went up on stage, I went up on the stage, the riser of the travel agency. I opened up with some Eric the Swede stuff where I pumped his music through the P.A. and I sing with it. I did 'Trenchcoat' which is a Squidfish - Shepard collaboration where I played Squidfish music and I sing with it. And then I did a bunch of solo stuff and at the end Rudy got up there, Al got up there, Roxanne got up there, and we did about three or four electric songs. V-3 was born in that instant. And then Kevin got up there and did his set with Rudy and Al. And soon after Rudy and Al left the Kasualties and… [Interviewer] How did that all happen?
