The Descent into Popopolis

Lyrics
[Monologue] Other monkeybirds soon joined the melody. It became louder, and louder, and louder, until... They fell through the earth. The ground just opened up and there they were, barrelling down a great hole. The sun was replaced by darkness. The children hung onto each other, as clusters of fireflies danced around them, guiding the monkeybirds which now numbered in the hundreds Under their feet, a great wheel of light rose towards them, and they landed in the heart of a yobbenberry jungle, under enormous perfumed clouds A tiny orchestra of spangly-footed musicians gathered around them and soon lulled the children to sleep, playing the theme of this strange, upside-down world
