Orange Juice (Live From Fenway Park)

Lyrics
[Verse 1] Honey, come over The party's gone slower And no one will tempt you We know you got sober There's orange juice in the kitchen Bought for the children It's yours if you want it We're just glad you could visit [Chorus] Feels like I've been ready for you to come home For so long That I didn't think to ask you where you'd gone Why'd you go? [Post-Chorus] You said You said You said my heart has changed and my soul has changed And my heart, and my heart Now my face has changed, and I haven't drank In six months on the dot [Verse 2] See the graves as you pass through From our crash back in '02 Not one nick on your finger You just asked me to hold you But it made you a stranger And filled you with anger Now I'm third in the line up To your Lord and your Savior [Chorus] Feels like I've been ready for you to come home For so long That I didn't think to ask you where you'd gone So why'd you go then? [Post-Chorus] And you said You said You said my heart has changed and my soul has changed And my heart, and my heart And my life has changed, that this town had changed and you had not, no, not at all That the world has changed, don't you find it strange That you just went ahead and carried on? 'Cause you know I'd say, the last time I drank I was face down, passed out there on your lawn Are we all just crows to you now? Are we all just pullin' you down? You didn't put those bones in the ground You didn't put those bones in that cold, hard ground [Outro] Honey, come over The party's gone slower And no one will tempt you We know you got sober There's orange juice in the kitchen Bought for the children It's yours if you want it We're just glad you could visit [Spoken Outro] Oh, boy, thank you so much I don't deserve this shit, thank you! Thank you so much… and I'm really sorry about my first pitch, I know it was bad, I'm sorry guys! And I just wish I could stay up here forever 'cause I'm gonna remember it for the rest of my life! And there's some moments you just don't want to end. And I've been working so hard to get here… we've been working so fucking hard, and we're so grateful and we're so excited that we're here. I have never, never been more proud of a group of people than these people behind me playing music for me tonight. These are people that worked their fucking asses off, that— I mean, I found this dude, he was, he was giving me coffee in the studio we were working and making the album in. He picked up a guitar and played the solo, and I said, "Why don't you come on tour with me?". Look at him now, eh? I mean, this is Nina's first ever real fucking tour, look at her! It's the biggest tour you've ever done, Dylan? I mean, Alex was playing fucking Nashville bars and Broadway. And Marcos was, ha, was living right up there where you could see the fucking park and grew up here in Boston and played in a wedding band and played every fucking venue in this city and grinded his ass off for this shit. I remember we played House of Blues, and he had tapped on my shoulder, and he just said thank you, and I wish I could show him that we'd be playing Fenway in about two years later! So, um… I wanna thank my crew as well for putting this show on for two years straight! I wanna thank Fenway Park for having me out today; thank you so much Fenway! And there is nobody in the world that I wanna thank more than New England; I love you all so much! I don't pretend to be a representative of where we're from; we're all representatives of where we're from, and I think what's special is that we're all alike in a lot of ways, and I'm happy that this album was able to capture some of that. Um, but this album has brought me closer to people that, uh, I would never would've met otherwise, like you guys, and, um, I've seen every comment, I've seen every, uh, like, word of support, I've seen you guys at every show. Um, I have fallen in love with this, uh, with this city, with this area, and with all of you guys, and, um, I will be here as long as you'll have me, New England! Wearing flannel and shit! Uh, this next song is, uh, about being a national for the Northeast, being cold as hell! Uh, Boston, thank you so much for the greatest night of my young life, or old life, whatever, thank you!
