"People view music as like - it's the same thing they've done to everything and they did it to music - They commodify it, they make it product and then they make it trendy Because - I'll admit, like, I remember when I was younger, when I would be going arranging my iTunes and I would be like, I would think about what I would want other people to see in my iTunes You know what I'm saying, like what I would want - Why should that ever be a factor? This is music, art that I listen to to enjoy But I would think about what - how I define myself and relfect myself and like what I would want people to see "It's like I gotta have this, I gotta have that in here so people know I'm - gotta have that" And I think that, like, people aren't aware of that in themselves but they're like "yo, nah nah I got-gotta have that new *shit*, listen to this new *shit*, I listen to this new *shit* That's what I listen to because" because they situate their identity in this place of - ("in that realm") - yeah, in that realm Like you know what I'm saying, and so it becomes - it doesn't even have to do with how they actually feel about the music, it's just how they're tynna define themselves as a person."
