Lyrics

Well, here we are in 1925 and now I'm playing in New York in Fletcher Henderson's band at the Roseland. And getting some extra kicks and some extra loot making records with all the great blues singers. Old Smack Henderson himself and some of the other cats out of the band made the date with Ma Rainey when she sang, especially I remember a phrase she used to sing in one of her blues that I recorded with her: If you don't believe I'm sinking Look what a hole I'm in And if you don't believe I love ya Look what a fool I've been Ha ha ha ha, that used to kill me. But here's one too I like that she made. And the title is See See Rider and it's now sung by Velma Middleton
