Lyrics

[Vocals: Lighght] Gore-Tex in the club, Balenciaga amongst the shrubs For good or for worse, the mercurial survive The element that stands neither clearly as friend or foe Who can adapt their attitudes to please the mass Reptile humans wearing whichever Greek player mask suits the best The pressure you put melts into thin air as they side swerve with a smile But even they are not all powerful The reptile beings are a fractured people whose own factions fight I have pity for them Their eyes which cry crocodile cannot let forth real emotion But there's a nugget in there somewhere A pipe with no valve But also no steam to cause an explosion Just an acid slowly eating away the interior My pain happened for no reason whatsoever Or rather, there were reasons it happened And those reasons are actually quite important for me At least to get to the root of my bullshit But after I've tackled with the reasons which stand like pillars keeping the structure solid After I've pushed them, crushed them like Samson, the temple crashed all around me I pushed the rubble off my injured self and took some steps Turned around And what I observed was the following A mound, no longer the temple as it stood before, all temple shaped and whatnot But a pile of stones, crushed facades of gold enameling peaking through the dust And slowly but surely, envoys of the lizard people came to make their offerings It's still a fucking temple, and this will not do Now my suffering has taken on a sense of ruined splendour I race to clear the piles I make calls to contractors to clear this rubbish that weighs so heavily It is pain, pain with the weight of ages And now I am informed that I do not have a permit to clear I attempt to apply for said permit, but a notary is needed This could take months measured in working days And even if the notary is obtained, the process has to restart based on if the files have been filed in the right order And beyond this I'm told that the files need to be filled out and matched in reverse triplicate I hang up, exasperated I fall to the dry earth in a symbolic pose I slowly sob, but not cathartically The lizard people continue to gather with offerings to the site A kindly seeming lizard person tries to console me "Hey come on buddy, don't look so sad! You managed to crush that temple that was getting you down all by yourself. Great job!" And offers me a sharped tooth smile That I must say seems quite genuine And pats me on the back with a scaly claw The ruins have begun to take on a low audible hum Begin glowing, and slowly sputter black bile I've crushed the pillars But these illusive mercurial forces keep the cycle structure here A festering wound spilling forth molten plastic Turning solid but liquefying and escaping if I try and touch them My healing is arbitrary in a sense If the process hasn't begun, this would not have been made But that isn't helpful I don't know what is Maybe fun? No, fun is a distraction But fun as a life source A fountain that springs forth A pint with a friend can give me the strength to see another day out on this miserable plane A dance and a boogie can fill me with a joy unheard But growing from within Fuck these lizards Let them eat each other Stand up for yourself where you can stand up for yourself When you can stand to do it I want to see you happy I want to see me happy
