The initial innocence of this growth is quickly complicated by a shift in perspective and a darker turn. The narrator, addressing their parents, announces a new love, receiving a simple "Congratulations." However, this is immediately followed by a disturbing question directed at the beloved: "Hey, whose milk are you drinking now to live?" This jarring question, alongside the observation that the beloved might be learning words, hints at a possessive and potentially unhealthy fixation.
