[Spoken Word] "Free Now" is at and always has been my sneaky favourite Um, I love, I love the song so much and it did a lot for my brain That I, uh, I think really needed at the time, um, I-I this was one And I feel like I this is just always been my instinct This songwriting since I was a really little child, which is that I feel like I'm writing because I have to in the same way that I drink water because I have to or breathe because I have to It's like just one of those bodily instincts, I suppose And this song I felt like I was able to acknowledge multiple sides Of something without anger, um And without real sadness But actually kind of to say it all with a smile And like have a deeper understanding For, for, the, the relationship, um And to not take everything so personally as well Like everyone is on their own journey, obviously Every single one of us is radically different from the next, and To make room for that is really crucial, I think In order to grow up That's my opinion, at least today on June 26th, 2024 Um, yeah, it's one of my favourite bridges, also I just am proud of this song top-to-bottom And I loved making it—
