Lyrics

I knew the very moment that I met her, I would absolutely never stop thinking of her She approached me and asked me for something, and I don't even remember what it was All I know is that as soon as I spoke with her, she was on my mind Absolutely all day after that, every minute after that Every second after that What I then decided to do was to go home and try not to think about her I played a few video games, I played a, I played a couple of other card games I put a video on but every time there was an actress I just kept thinking of her, I just kept seeing her Eventually I couldn't take it anymore so I went outside I had to have some photocopies made so I went Over to the local photocopy store And there she was, walking in I just stood looking at my photocopies, just making them, making them over and over and Over again and she said "Hi." I said "How are you doing?" She goes "I'm well, that was a very nice discussion we had about flight." I couldn't, I couldn't even remember what she was talking about But I said "Certainly, it was a very interesting Conversation that we had." We started talking some more and I started Pontificating about clouds and the shape of the moon And the way stars twinkle when you're feeling melancholy and the way that the river reflects the stars In an even more melancholy way We ended up in a cafe, we ended up walking around, and then we ended up back in my flat Anyway, we ended up in each other's arms and after that, when we were kissing, she said "Would you like to see something?" And I said, "certainly." She was very, very dark, and very, very gorgeous There was a zipper on her and she started to unzip it Naturally I expected, well, you know But instead, her entire human skin peeled off, and A six-foot moth was standing in front of me And I said to her, "I didn't know that you were a moth." She said, "would you like to see something?" I said, "This is not what you wanted me to see?" "No," she said. "Just climb on my back." So I climbed onto the back of this gigantic moth And she flew out the window And before I knew it, the city was beneath us And then New York Harbor was beneath us The Verrazono bridge was beneath us We started to fly over the suburbs, and she said "do you notice the streetlamps in the suburbs, the way all the moths flutter around them endlessly and obsessively?" I said, "I've always enjoyed that sight." She said, "and that is why, I'm giving you, this ride."
