Lyrics

A whale with legs walked up on the beach Looking for a bus named Josephine He knew she was really a whale in disguise Dressed up as a bus to leave the sea But he cried, "she is leaving me" This big blue whale, whose name was Timothy Walked up to the Southern State Parkway The traffic jams caused by this big walking whale Almost drove him back into the sea Horns were honking oh so noisily But that wouldn't stop big Timothy Thousands of people got out of their cars They knew why he was searching on the land He had that expression of unrequited love As he held a fir tree in his hand Where was Josephine upon the land? Eventually he found her on the Williamsburg bridge Stuck in the traffic jam caused by him Disguised as a bus it takes a monumental task Therefore, he did not need to ask He knew she was not in love with him This realization caused his head to spin His life without love would now begin A whale with legs jumped back into the sea Feeing so melancholy No one ever saw him ever again He disappeared so completely But sometimes you can hear him sing From the harbor in the late evening Sounding like a broken-down machine He sings "I Love You Josephine" He sings "I Love You Josephine" He sings "I Love You Josephine" He sings "I Love You Josephine"
