“Future Legend” immediately plunges us into a desolate, post-apocalyptic urban nightmare. Corpses litter “the slimy thoroughfare” as “red mutant eyes” survey “Hunger City.” It’s a world stripped bare, where survival is a brutal, animalistic struggle. The lyrics paint a picture of utter societal collapse, where past luxuries are twisted into grotesque necessities. “Peoploids” scavenge for “mink and shiny silver fox, now legwarmers,” their “family badge” a “cracked emerald.” This desperate repurposing highlights a stark tension between a forgotten grandeur and a primal, dehumanized present.
