The Rev and the Rabbi Meet the Fly

Lyrics
[David Hedison] Please! Help me! Please go away! Go away! [Terry Scott Taylor] You know, I had a couple of friends over the other night: Reverend Dr. Edward Daniel Taylor and Rabbi Aaron Bergman, and I think it's the first time these two great minds have come together, the first time they met. And they were both fans of early sci-fi and horror movies, and we watched a classic: "The Fly," with Vincent Price. And I happened to tape, you know, their conversation, and you guys get to listen in. [Herbert Marshall] But you saw it, didn't you? [Vincent Price] Yes, I saw it. I thought she was . . . [Herbert Marshall] As God is my witness, I saw the thing. It's unbelievable. I shall never forget that scream as long as I live. [Vincent Price] You've committed murder just as much as Helene did. You killed a fly with a human head. She killed a human with a fly head. If she murdered, so did you. [Rabbi Aaron Bergman] Oh, those are harsh words! [Dr. Edward Daniel Taylor] It's an immoral abomination, I tell you. Sin can change not only the spirit of man but the very physical appearance of a man. Don't you agree, Rabbi? [Rabbi Aaron Bergman] Uh . . . no, not really. [Dr. Edward Daniel Taylor] I remember a revival service, back in '62, as I recall. I was having a healing, uh--a healing service, and I was calling all the infirm to come forward. And sure enough, there was a man there that came forward, and I couldn't believe it: He was a man with a fly's head. [Rabbi Aaron Bergman] Oh! That's not kosher! [Dr. Edward Daniel Taylor] Now I laid my hands on him, Rabbi. I laid my hands on him, and in faith I cried, "Heal! Heal!" [Rabbi Aaron Bergman] Wow. [Dr. Edward Daniel Taylor] And he went back to normal. He became a fly with a man's head. [Rabbi Aaron Bergman] Oh. [Dr. Edward Daniel Taylor] And then--and then--Rabbi, he rubbed his hands together, and then he lifted off the ground. He literally flew across the crowd, the revival tent crowd, towards the men's restroom. [Rabbi Aaron Bergman] Oh. Well. Eh, a fly's gotta eat!
