Hound of Heaven (Live in ’79)

Lyrics
[Spoken: Terry Scott Taylor] Finally, the message tonight, uh, is that Jesus is real and alive, and he loves you. And that love is real. It's the person of Christ we're talking about tonight. You can enter into a real personal relationship. Maybe you've heard it a million times, but it's true. Each one of us up here wouldn't be here except for Jesus Christ in our lives. It's what motivates us. That's what causes us to go on and causes us to want to share with you a personal thing that we've found, a thing that'll change your life, a thing that you were made to experience. Every one of you here was made to know Jesus Christ. Whether you're young, whether you're old, rich or poor, whatever your background, God loves you all in an equal way, so much that he gave his only son to die on a cross, who rose again on the third day, and who lives right now. He's with us here tonight in spirit to make himself real to you if you open up your heart. This is called "Hound of Heaven." It talks about God's love [Verse 1] He got lost among the stars Hollywood flash, cash, mansions and cars Deep-sea divers, Lear-jet flyers Will this thing go to the moon? Oh yeah Give me elbow room And for heaven's sake, take this aching away [Chorus] You can't run You can't hide from the Hound of Heaven You're free to choose Can you refuse the Seeker of Souls? [Verse 2] Hobo's sleeping alone, he's in a dirty boxcar He dreams of sailing to a tropical island one sweet day Now the thrill awakes him, there is no sunshine This old train ain't really going there, oh no Does anybody care? And for heaven's sake, take this aching away [Chorus] You can't run You can't hide from the Hound of Heaven You're free to choose Can you refuse the Seeker of Souls? [Guitar Solo] [Verse 1] We got lost among the stars Hollywood flash, cash, mansions and cars Deep-sea divers, Lear-jet flyers Will this thing go to the moon? Oh yeah Give me elbow room And for heaven's sake, take this aching away [Chorus] You can't run You can't hide from the Hound of Heaven You're free to choose Can you refuse the Seeker of Souls? You can't run You can't hide from the Hound of Heaven You're free to choose Can you refuse the Seeker of Souls?
