Real recognize real. The Latin icon praised the pop superstar for her "touching" tribute during the Radical Optimism tour stop in Colombia.
Dua Lipa knows exactly how to read a room—or in this case, a stadium full of Colombian fans.
The pop titan brought her massive Radical Optimism tour to Bogotá’s Estadio El Campín on Friday (Nov. 28), and she didn’t just play the hits. In what has become a signature move for this tour, Lipa paid homage to the local culture by performing a surprise cover of Shakira’s 1995 ballad, "Antología."
The acoustic rendition quickly went viral, eventually reaching the Queen of Latin Pop herself. Shakira took to Instagram to share her reaction, clearly moved by the gesture.
"I’m so touched to hear my song in Dua’s voice, in the same city where I wrote it years ago," Shakira wrote, sharing a clip of the performance. She added a sweet sentiment about the global power of music: "See how music brings us together? A girl from London and another one from Barranquilla!"

A Tour of Tributes This isn't a one-off for Dua. Throughout her current run, she’s been curating a localized "mixtape" for every city she visits. From bringing out Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker in Sydney to rocking out with Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong in San Francisco, she’s turning every stop into a unique event.
It also helps that Lipa has been brushing up on her language skills. The singer recently revealed she’s studying for her Spanish A-levels, which explains how she nailed the Spanish lyrics in Bogotá with such confidence.
Next up? The tour wraps up with a three-night residency in Mexico City (Dec. 1-5). We can only guess which Mexican icon is next on her cover list.
