Tim Bergling, better known as Avicii, was a Swedish DJ, remixer, record producer, and musician. He emerged from the electronic music scene in the late 2000s and quickly rose to international fame, becoming one of the most influential figures in contemporary electronic dance music (EDM). Avicii's innovative blend of electronic sounds with elements of pop, folk, and even country music helped to popularize EDM on a global scale and ushered in a new era of mainstream electronic music. Born in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1989, Bergling began experimenting with music production in his teens.
